Everglades by Randy Wayne White
Book Number: RC 57575
2 sound cassettes
Series: Doc Ford novel

Sally Minster turns to her former lover, marine biologist Doc Ford, for help
after her real-estate developer husband, Geoff, disappears. Doc investigates
Geoff’s shady dealings in the Florida Everglades with a religious cult guru,
whose schemes threaten Doc’s friends and the area’s ecology. Strong
language, some descriptions of sex, and some violence. 2003.
I was a bit disappointed in this book. After reading all the hype about the
author, I expected an exciting story. His characters were interesting and
different but the story just seemed slow to me. White was compared to John
D. McDonald and I don't think he's in his league at all. It maybe just me,
but I don't know if I'll read another of White's books. I give it a 2 out
of 5.
Happy reading,
Carla/TexasRed

Thanks. I'll give Everglades a try; have enjoyed other White books.
